Yunus Sentamu out as Vipers host tormentors URA

In their previous seven meetings, URA have an edge over their hosts winning thrice, drawn 3 and only lost once to Vipers SC.


Vipers SC will be seeking to maintain their perfect home record this term as they host their tormentors URA FC at the St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The Venoms have won both of the games they have hosted this term (5-0 win over Wakiso Giants and a 1-0 victory against Onduparaka FC).

For the tax collectors, this will be only their second game on the road this season, they lost to newbies Arua Hill 3-2 in their first away game.

Vipers are currently second on the log with 13 points in five games while URA FC have 7 points in their opening four games.

In their previous seven meetings, URA have an edge over their hosts winning thrice, drawn 3 and only lost once to Vipers SC.

Last season, the two sides played out to a 1-1 stalemate at Kitende with URA FC beating Vipers 2-1 in Ndejje.

The Venoms beat Mbarara City 2-1 in their previous games while URA are fresh from humbling Tooro United 6-1.

The hosts will miss their talisman Yunus Sentamu through injury. The forward has scored four goals this season but was forced off in the win at Mbarara.

Bright Anukani and Airtel FUFA Male player of the year nominee Bobosi Byaruhanga are expected to have a major impact on the game.


Current top scorer Steven Mukwala with five goals this season will be facing his former side and is expected to light up their attack.
