Young Africans (Yanga SC) are set to complete signing of Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho on a two year contract.
The Cranes midfielder has been a transfer target of Egyptian side Ismaily SC and Yanga’s rivals Simba SC.
Simba, who were the first team to express interest in signing Aucho, pulled out of the race in the eleventh hour.
Reports in Egypt indicate Ismaily failed to reach a compromise to sign the free agent midfielder.
Aucho has landed in Tanzania to complete his transfer to Yanga SC.
Yanga SC will represent Tanzania in the 2021/22 CAF Champions League after finishing runners up in the league last season.
Aucho left Misr El Makkasa last week after his two year contract expired.
He has also played for Simba in Uganda, Tusker and Gor Mahia in Kenya, Serbian sides Red Star Belgrade and OFK Beograd and East Bengal and Churchill Brothers of India.
