World Cup qualifiers 2018: Egypt lose 3 key players to injury ahead of Congo tie

Egypt could qualify for Russia 2018 if they manage to beat Congo Brazaville and Uganda fail to win against Ghana on Saturday.

Their preparations have been however dented a blow after losing 3 key players in Hossam Ashour , Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba and Abdallah El Said to injury.

El Said has been a key member of Hector Cuper’s side after making 5 appearances and scoring 3 goals in the 2018 World Cup campaign. Kahraba has also made 3 appearances in this campaign.

Their replacement will be Momen Zakryia of Al Ahly, Hossam Hassan of Smouha and Mohammad Fathi from Ismaili.

Egypt are currently leading group E with 9 points, followed by Uganda on 7, Ghana in 3rd and Congo Brazaville are already out of contention.
