WOODBALL : Maiden Corporate Woodball Circuit successfully concludes

Ndejje Corporate Club and Cipla were crowned men and ladies champions in the first Corporate Woodball Circuit that was held on Sunday at Makerere Business School playgrounds.

The event attracted 17 Corporate Woodball clubs which included the hosts MUBS, Buganda Land Board, Cipla, Ndejje Corporate Club, UNEB, Kisubi Corporate Club, Islamic University in Uganda, UETCL among others.

Ndejje garnered 207 strokes to win the men’s overall trophy while Kisubi and Cipla were second and third respectively with 208 and 223 strokes.

Cipla claimed the ladies trophy with 230 strokes while UNEB and Ndejje finished second and third with 235 and 247 strokes respectively.

In the men’s singles, Njenje Richard (MUBS) came out on top with 49 strokes while Kabogoza Dan and Kizza Caleb with 51 and 52 strokes to finish second and third respectively.

Namubiru Aidha (IUIU) won the ladies category with 48 strokes. Amanyire Lydia (UETCL) and Turinawe Angel ( Cipla) were second and third with 52 strokes each.

In the Men’s doubles, KIU duo of Ainemani and Okot claimed gold with 50 strokes. Barungi and Zombe (Cipla) were second with 50 strokes while Kimera and Masimbi Aziz finished third with 52 strokes.

Namata and Nakazzi (Ndejje) managed 56 strokes to win the ladies category whereas Nakabugo Joweria and Nababi (MUBS) and Naluwaga and Nassiwa ( Bukalabi) finished second and third with 57 and 58 strokes respectively.

Mixed doubles, the pairing of Bukenya Godfrey and Mulamba (Kisubi) claimed gold with 49 strokes.

Murwasira and Basemera ( Bugema) were second with 51 strokes while Miro and Matovu (Ndejje) also managed 51 strokes to finish third.

In the senior corporates category , Masimbi came out on top with 88 strokes while Bukenya and Semanda Collins finished second and third respectively.
