Winger Tibita Laban joins Busoga United

Uganda Premier League side Busoga United have signed Tibita Laban on a two-year contract.

Laban joins the Jinja outfit from the relegated side Maroons FC.

The youthful winger spent the closing stages of the previous campaign on loan at Tooro United.

He becomes the major signing for Busoga United who haven’t been aggressive in the transfer window ahead of the new season.

Tibita is a former student of Kawempe Muslim Secondary School and previously played for Edgar’s Youth in the Kampala Regional League.

He joins Busoga United at the moment after the club rewarded goalkeeper Rogers Omendwa with a new contract.

Goalkeeper Ali Kimera and left-back Julius Debo Junior have also signed contract extensions with Busoga United.

David Bagoole (Vipers), Ibrahim Mugulusi (BUL), Benson Wagima (Bright Stars) alongside Nelson Mandela (Maroons FC) have already confirmed exits from the club.

Under the tutelage of Abbey Bogere Kikomeko, Busoga United finished significant 4th last season with 42 points in the 25 games played.
