Winger Ibrahim Kasinde joins Soltilo Bright Stars

Ibrahim Kasinde has joined Uganda Premier League side Soltilo Bright Stars on a three year contract.

Kasinde who primarily operates as a right winger has been featuring for Masaka based Kampala University FC in the Buganda Regional League.

He played for Busujju and Ssingo in the Airtel Masaza Cup and Masaka City FC in 2017 as well as Kaliisizo KM (2018).

In May this year, Kasinde was unveiled as a Gomba player in preparation for the 2020 Masaza Cup edition.

He joins a list of players that have joined Bright Stars prior to the forthcoming Uganda Premier League season who include Jamir Nvule Kisitu from Kitara FC, Samson Mutyaba (Kyetume), Samuel Sekamatte Kayongo (formerly at Red Arrows in Zambia), Joseph Akandwanaho (Nyamityobora), Saddam Masereka (BUL FC), Benson Wagima (Busoga United) and youngsters Warren Buule, Emmanuel Loki, Marvin Ssemayange and Gabriel Elagu.

Defenders Derrick Ngoobi and Andrew Kaggwa alongside midfielder Henry Kiwanuka have already signed contract extensions while Jamil Kaliisa and Moses Okot have left for Vipers SC and Onduparaka respectively.

Baker Mboowa will serve as the club’s head coach while Simon Peter Mugerwa will be his immediate assistant.

Bright Stars who have now changed their name to Soltilo Bright Stars this week, finished 12th last season with 29 points accumulated from the 25 games played
