UPDF FC goalkeeper Bashir Ssekajja put up a master class performance in their game against KCCA FC at Lugogo.

Although the visitors fell 2-0 to the home side, they went down fighting and only conceded when referee Ali Sabila had reduced them to 10 men by giving midfielder Sulaiman Majanjalo matching orders deep in the second half.

The young goal keeper produced a man of the match performance only to be beaten by Okello’s piece of magic deep in the end of the game.

“We were only unfortunate to lose because we tried our best and only lost after we went a man down but we surely deserved a point from this game” .

He said in the post match conference.

When asked whether the performance was inspired by the fact he was facing KCCA a team he previously represent Les as a junior,  he quashed the suggestion insisting that his performance was a normal one. He added,

“I am a footballer who performs to the expectations but not to prove to anyone. I simply take up my role and that is what i was up to.”

After the loss to KCCA, UPDF FC remains 12th on the 16 team logo with 25 points and their next fixture will see them lockhorns with fellow relegation bound Express FC at Wankulukuku on 17th, April, 2018.
