The national team of Uganda has arrived safely in  Rwanda’s capital city of Kigali where they are to play the return match against the hosts Amavubi stars on Saturday 19th August.

On arrival team skipper Muwanga Bernard thanked the almighty God for having enabled the team travel safely to Rwanda.

Muwanga who also features for Uganda’s record champions SC Villa was quick to warn that they had come to play for maximum points so that they can qualify.

” The weather here doesn’t differ  from that of Kampala, much as we are going to play an away game and everything just can’t be the same, i can only promise that we are going to give our very best as a team”.

He was also quick to give a general overview of the entire team as he put it that;

” The whole team is in shape and we are more than ready to take home the three points.” He concluded.

On his side the man at the helm of the team as interim coach Moses Basena while addressing the media on departure said that the job is halfway done since it’s on a  home basis however, he was also quick to say they were going for maximum points.

The aggregate winner between the Cranes and the Amavubi Stars will qualify for the CHAN final tournament to be hosted by Kenya next year. Uganda go into this fixture with an advantage over Rwanda having edged them 3-0 in Kampala last weekend.
