Onduparaka fc midfield king pin Ivan Mboowa has expressed his club’s target of winning a major silverware this season. While speaking to swiftsportsug.com in an exclusive interview, Mboowa said,
“Last season was all about staying in the league since it was the club’s first season in the top flight but this time round we are braced to compete for all the silverware at disposal, both the Uganda cup and the League. We just have to work together as a team plus the continued support from our beloved fans we are to achieve at least one of the two.”
“We have had good pre season preparations and we very set for the season kick off.” Mboowa added
On a personal level, Mboowa set a target of a future national team consideration.
“I am going to work harder in the forthcoming season, my main aim is to gain a consideration on the national team in the near future.”
Mboowa’s statements come a few hours after Betway renewed their sponsorship with the club in a deal worth 600 millions.
Last season, Onduparaka had a terrific debut season in the league finishing 5th with 45 points but exited the Uganda cup on the quarter final stage at the hands of Sadolin Paints.
