Ghana head coach Kwesi Appiah took his team through their paces this evening at Mandela National Stadium tomorrow enable them feel the pitch.

The Black stars come into this game needing nothing less than a win. They currently lie 3rd behind Uganda and Egypt with 2 games left on the world cup qualifying
campaign.

The former Black stars player insists that his team still have a lot to play for in this game. He says,

” Tomorrow’s is a World Cup qualifier, we are playing away and all the support is for Uganda but we are here to give a very good game.”

“I have a young and new team who all have much to prove to me and all the Ghanaians. My ambition is trying to win all the games ahead of us, qualification is a tattoo order but we have to continue giving our best and see what fate has for us.”

Uganda have a strong team that plays at the highest level and it’s not gonna be easy for us, to be at the highest level we have to be a team like this one.”.

On the state of the playing surface, Kwesi refused to take any excuses about the visibly poor state of the pitch. He said,

” This playing surface is no different from those in the other African countries, my players play on the same kind of pitches every week and this is no different, so we shall be able to cope. “

The two nations still have a chance of qualification dependent on the outcome of the result between table leaders Egypt and Congo Brazaville.
