Following his team’s exhibition of a never say die attitude against SC Villa yesterday at the Prisons Stadium,  head coach Asaph Mwebaza has heaped praise onto his team. Maroons earned a valuable point thanks to a late Patrick Gonahasa goal against the Jogoos.

Mwebaze says that his team is now on truck after a hard run of difficult fixtures and he expects them to now hit the ground running. He says

“My players have fought hard to make sure we walk away with a point against a strong Sc Villa side, we conceded a goal early in the first half but we held on until when we got our chance and levelled the score.”

On what the result means to his Maroons side,

“The result means that the team is improving considering that we have had a difficult fixture in the last six games meeting the top four clubs in Uganda that is Kcca Fc , Express Fc , URA Fc and Sc Villa and we have managed to get three points off them. We have to continue practicing and doing things right then we shall be getting three points off other opponents.”

The prison side currently lies in 11th position on 6 points accumulated in the 6 league games played, they will next play visitors to Masavu fc at Bugonga in Entebbe in their next fixture on 24th ,Oct , 2017.
