After surviving relegation by a whisker last season, BUL FC captain Hakim Magombe has expressed expectations prior to the virgin 2017-2018 season. Magombe has vowed that this season, BUL fc will have a very different and far better performance from last season’s.
The gallant left back says,
“I anticipate a top finish in this coming season because we have signed very good players and we are not settling for less but the top 5 positions. I see no difference in the quality of the players of the title contending teams and ours because some of our players are fit for a national team consideration.”
“Last season was disastrous for us fighting relegation until the last day. In fact we would be ashamed if we got relegated because we had good players. I think things just didn’t work out for us properly but I ensure you we are going to bounce back to where we belong.”
He confidently pledges results for the club and warns the opponents in advance.
“Our opponents should expect tough times because we are not going to be an easy side starting with Mbarara City on the opening day of the season.”
On the issue of the club’s armband, Magombe says he is still the club skipper.
“Definitely I am still captain and I will be captain in the forthcoming 2017-2018 season and we are already in bound and determined preparations for the new season.”
There has been a doubt concerning the club’s captaincy with the return of former captain Patrick Crespo Asiku.
BUL is under the tutelage of Kefa Kisala and will kick off the campaign with a home tie against newly promoted side Mbarara City fc on 12th September before visiting Vipers at Kitende 3 days later.
