Wasswa directs sly dig at Vipers in his first statement since joining Villa

Geoffrey Wasswa has expressed his delight upon joining Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa.

In the same statement, Wasswa stressed how much important it is play for Villa, them being the biggest club in Uganda.

Wasswa who can operate as a central midfielder and central defender joined Villa on a short term deal as a free agent after serving his employment contract at Vipers SC.

“I am glad to be a Jogoo and looking forward to joining the lads and play for the badge. SC Villa is the most successful club in Uganda. I am here to add onto that success. It is every player’s dream to play for this club even if it is for a single day.”

Wasswa revealed via his personal facebook account

Wasswa joined the Vipers senior team after graduating from the junior team at the start if the 2015/16 season.

At Vipers, he won two league titles and the Uganda Cup trophy. He is expected to solve Villa’s defensive problems in the current campaign.
