Wakiso to reinstall Bengo as Mbabazi’s replacement

Wakiso Giants have reportedly re-appointed Steven Bengo as interim head coach.

The Uganda Cranes international replaces Charles Livingston Mbabazi who was sacked by the Wakiso based side after serving for only three months.

Mbabazi took over the technical department at Wakiso Giants in November last year replacing Kefa Kisala.

Bengo officially retired from football last year. He returns to the side he managed for three games this season.

Bengo previously handled the Uganda Premier League side for three games this campaign.

During his playing time, Bengo featured for SC Villa, KCCA FC, Express FC, Soana FC, Kenya’s Nakumatt FC, Tanzanian Club Yanga and Wakiso Giants.

His immediate task will be a Uganda Cup tie against MYDA in the round of 32 on Tuesday.
