DAVID GOMBE

Wakiso Giants recorded their fourth home straight win with a 7-2 thrashing of minnows Kitara at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Saturday.

The Purple Sharks have now scored 17 league goals in their previous four home games, conceding only four.

Goals from Joshua Lubwama, Gadafi Wahab, Rahmat Ssenfuka, Amos Muwonge, Edward Satulo and a brace from Viane Ssekajugo inspired the Wakiso outfit to their biggest win in the topflight.

Kusemererwa and Edson Agondeze scored the only two goals for the visitors.

Lubwama gave the home side the lead in the 12 minute when he converted from the spot after Philip Ssempiira had brought down Ssekajugo in the forbidden area.

Satulo doubled Wakiso’s advantage before Ssekajugo extended their lead five minutes to halftime breather.

Wahab and Ssenfuka netted the fourth and fifth goals in the 57 and 65th minute respectively.

Ssekajugo completed his brace in the 72 minute before Muwonge scored the 7th nine minutes to normal time.

Kusemererwa and Edson Agondeze scored the only two goals for the visitors.

Wakiso are 9th with 30 points from 24 games while Kitara are bottom placed with just 10 points

Wakiso will next travel to BUL FC on Tuesday while Kitara host fellow strugglers MYDA on the same day.
