Wakiso Hill Women Football Club confirm two new signings

Wakiso Hill Women Football Club have embarked on a recruitment process with two new signings in preparation for the 2020/21 FUFA Women Elite League season.

Patricia Nayiga and Diana Nagawa are the two new signings that have been confirmed by the club.

Nayiga is a striker who has been a student at Mita College School in Kawempe while defender Nagawa is a student at Buganda Royal Institute.

The club’s head coach Swaleh Kamya is optimistic of a bright campaign after acquiring Nagawa and Nayiga.

” As a serious club, we are trying to look for new talent to add depth especially in the offensive and defensive department. I’m glad we have got some good new players Nagawa (Diana) and Nayiga (Patricia). I’m sure they will add a lot to the team.” Kamya said

” Our fans out there should just get ready for promotion to the Super League because that’s our target.” He added.

Upon agreeing terms with the club, the two players expressed their delight and promised to perform to the expectations.

” I’m so glad to be part of Wakiso Hill. I want my talent to be promoted here. I want to win as a player but also as a team. I thank my parents for being supportive to me and I want to inspire many girls to play football like me.”

Last week on Thursday, Wakiso Hill Women Club FC launched a campaign with a mission of earning promotion from to the FUFA Women Super League.

It should noted that Wakiso Hill Women Club are one of the pioneers of club football in Uganda but have found results on the pitch hard to come their way in the previous seasons.

Led by the club chairman Shaka Wilber, the club appointed Sports journalist David Didi Tumusiime as their Public Relations Officer with effect from 10th September 2020.

Wakiso Hill FC compete in the second tie of women football league (FUFA Women Women League) and will be coached by former Kakiri Town Council coach Swaleh Kamya.

Kamya will be assisted by Mathew Lumu while Kasim Kiwanuka Hassan continues to serve as the Chief Executive Officer – CEO.
