FUFA Women Elite League side Wakiso Hill Women Football Club have officially unveiled Sharuwa Namubiru “Marta” as their official third signing.
Namubiru is a striker nicknamed “Marta” after Brazilian female forward Marta Vieira Da Silva who is also her role model.
The 19-year old striker, a student at Kakindu Parents School is a former trainee at Makerere University female team She Mak FC.
Upon signing with Wakiso Hill Women Football Club, Namubiru revealed her personal target of scoring double figures as the club hopes for a promotion to the top tier league.
” Wakiso Hill is a great club so I hope to make a mark here. I want to score over 10 goals next season and earn a national team call up. I also want to play for clubs abroad. “
“The fans of Wakiso Hill should expect great things from me come next season.”
She’s a daughter to Janat Namuli and Musisi Juuko and officially became the third signing for the Wakiso outfit.
Earlier on Wakiso Hill Women Football Club unveiled defender Diana Nagawa and striker Patricia Nayiga as their preparations for the 2020/21 season kicked off.
Wakiso Hill Women Club FC launched a campaign with a mission of earning promotion from to the FUFA Women Super League.
It should noted that Wakiso Hill Women Club are one of the pioneers of club football in Uganda but have found results on the pitch hard to come their way in the previous seasons.
Led by the club chairman Shaka Wilber, the club appointed Sports journalist David Didi Tumusiime as their Public Relations Officer with effect from 10th September 2020.
Wakiso Hill FC compete in the second tier of women football league (FUFA Women Women League) and will be coached by former Kakiri Town Council coach Swaleh Kamya.
Kamya will be assisted by Matthew Lumu while Kasim Kiwanuka Hassan continues to serve as the Chief Executive Officer – CEO.
