Wakiso Giants starts journey to the topflight, Proline visits Kitara and UPDF at home to Entebbe FC

The long wait is finally over as the FUFA big league 2018-2019 kick starts on Thursday 1st- November seeing nine games to be played.

Wakiso Giants make a long trip to Lira as they visit Amuka Bright Stars.

Coached by Ibrahim Kirya, Wakiso Giants has been among the busiest clubs in the transfer window and are among the bookies favorites to make it to the topflight.

Mansoor Mutumba, Ayub Kisalita, Abdul Karim Kasule, Richard Kigozi and skipper Feni Ali are among the notable key players to watch.

They will be missing out the services of Nigerian Emmanuel Ibe Obina formerly at Mbarara City who is yet to get a work permit, Eddie Mubiru and Denis Kaweesa ruled out as they are nursing injuries and Geoffrey Luutu due to clearance issues.

Allan Kabonge’s Entebbe FC formerly known as Masavu FC will be visiting Stephen Bogere’s UPDF FC at Bombo Military Grounds. The two were relagated from the top flight in the 2017-2018 season.

Allan Kabonge is back at a club he helped in joining top flight promotion in the 2016-2017 season, having also helped Onduparaka, Masavu and Paidha Black Angels to the top tier in 2016, 2017 and 2018 seasons respectively.

Losing play off finalists Kitara hired Sam Kawalya and he has been assigned with the task of securing promotion for them.

Dudu Ramathan, Alex Kitata and George Senkaba all from SC Villa are among the new faces to watch at Kitara FC.

Kitara FC will kick start the league by hosting Lugogo based side Proline FC at Kigaya Grounds in Hoima after shifting from Booma Grounds .

Proline FC coached by Shafik Bisaso will bank on the services of young star Bright Anukani, Keni Saidi and Mustapha Mujuzi for a positive result.

Vialli Binomugisha still at the helms of Kabale Sharp will be hosting debutants Doves FC from Masindi under Mark Tuyinamasiko formerly at Kirinya Jinja SS and Kira United at Kabale Municipal Grounds.

Kabale Sharp made it to the play offs in the 2017-2018 only to lose 3-0 to Paidha Black Angels.

Kansai Plascon under Angelo Lonyesi shifted from NARO Ntawo Grounds to Bishops Grounds Mukono and will be hosting Wasswa Godfrey’s Kira United FC.

Allan Oryek and Magola have to be at their best to help their achieve a positive result.

Moses Ndawula, Wasswa Godfrey and Hamisi Katende from Onduparaka FC, Masavu FC and Nyamityobora FC are among the new signings.

Kiboga Young coached by Felix Sekabuza will be hosting Water FC at Bamusuta Grounds.

Farouk Kawooya, Peter Lomolo, Abas Katerega and Duncan Ssemakula from Bright Stars, Masavu FC, Kiira United and Kireka United are among the new faces at Kiboga Young FC.

These join Isaac Otto, Jamil Nvule Kisitu and 2017-2018 best Masaza goalkeeper Shatif Magoola.
