Wakiso Giants have officially signed midfielder Lawrence Bukenya on a permanent next deal from KCCA FC.
Bukenya has signed a contract of three years with the Purple Sharks having spent the entire last season at the club on loan from Lugogo.
“I enjoyed my time here last season and am glad the move has been made permanent. I feel at home here and want to achieve a lot with this wonderful club at the moment. I thank KCCA for the time I spent there and wish them all the best.”

The youthful midfielder played over 25 games for Wakiso Giants across all competitions and scored in the 5-0 victory over MYDA FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
During his five year spell at KCCA, Bukenya won two league titles and two Uganda Cups. He was named the MVP of the Uganda Cup in 2017
He joins former Vipers midfielder Tom Masiko as the other player who has been retained by the club on a permanent deal.
Wakiso Giants have so far signed defender Edward Saturo, winger Pius Kaggwa and midfielder Ibrahim Owen Baba Kasule.
The Purple Sharks will be under the stewardship of Douglas Bamweyana who will be deputized by former Cranes right back Simeon Masaba.
Wakiso Giants finished 10th on the Uganda Premier League table with 30 points as the league was abruptly ended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
