Wakiso Giants beat Onduparaka to register first home win

Wakiso Giants recorded their first home of the current campaign with a 2-0 win over Onduparaka FC on Saturday evening.

Forward Ivan Bogere and Pius Kaggwa scored in either half as the Wakiso outfit sailed to a comfortable win at Wakissha Grounds.

Bogere put the hosts in the lead in the 23rd minute tapping home a quality Frank Ssebuufu cross.
At halftime Douglas Bamweyana coached side went into halftime breather leading.

Four minutes after the recess, Kaggwa doubled Wakiso’s advantage firing in a sensational Bogere cross.

Kabon Living and Jamal Malish both came close for Onduparaka on numerous occasions but failed to take their chances.

This was Wakiso Giants’ third victory of the campaign and they are now 13th placed with 19 points garnered in 18 league games.

Onduparaka stay 9th on the Uganda Premier League log with 24 points in 19 games.

The Purple Sharks will next travel to Vipers on Tuesday 20th April at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende while the Arua outfit will face minnows MYDA at Greenlight Stadium on the same day.
