Wakiso Giants FC have announced the signing of striker Sharif Kimbowa from Busoga United.
As reported by this website earlier on, the former Busoga United number 9 has been tied down on an employment contract of three years with the Purple Sharks.
He joins Frank Senyondo as Wakiso’s only signings for this transfer season.
Kimbowa was one of the regular performers at Busoga United who had a horrendous campaign last season.
He is expected to be Wakiso’s lead target man alongside Ivan Bogere who confirmed an extension of his loan stay at the club.
Kimbowa scored against Wakiso Giants as the two sides drew 1-1 at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru in the second round.
He joined Busoga United at the start of the 2019/20 season from Nkumba University in the University Football League.
The striker has in the past played for Masaka SSS and Blessed Sacrament Kimanya in NPP as well Lungujja Galaxy and Synergy FC.
He comes at a time when Wakiso Giants have lost Viane Ssekajugo to URA FC, Yasin Mugume (contract expired), Gadaffi Wahab and right back Muwadda Kateregga while Kipson Atuheire is expected to depart after his contract expired.
The Purple Sharks are expect to also announce the arrival of another forward Titus Sematimba.
