Uganda Cranes and Azam FC right back Nicolas Wakiro Wadada has hailed his mother Betty Nabudde for everything he has achieved through the game of football.

In an interview with Sanyuka TV at his residence in Kawuku, the former Vipers captain stated,

“My mother is special in my life, she is the reason why I am a soccer player. I remember, she bought me my first pair of soccer shoes. I think she earlier noticed that my talent was to play football.”

“I will always care for my mum because she deserves everything in this world including a car to ease her transport.”

Unlike many other soccer players, Wadada has invested his money in building apartments

“I have rentals from which I get some money though currently I have to follow President Museveni’s directive of not collecting rent from my tenants.”

“The situation is terrible in the country, but personally i am not among those who can call for help because have tried to save the money have got from the beautiful game.”

Wadada joined Tanzanian giants Azam FC at the start of the 2018/19 season after a trophy laden career at Vipers where he won two league titles and one Uganda Cup trophy.
