Table leaders Vipers SC will aim to maintain their lead on the StarTimes Uganda Premier League log when they host Kyetume at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The reverse fixture ended in a 2-1 win by the visitors at Namboole with Vipers goals scored by Fahad Bayo and Daniel Sserunkuuma while Robert Ssentongo scored from the spot for the home side.
The Venoms come into their first match of the second round with one point ahead of second placed KCCA but will be looking to restore their four point advantage with a win over the slaughters.
The Kitende based side have reinforced their attacking force with the signing of former KCCA forward Paul Mucureezi.
Muhammad Shaban, Abraham Ndugwa and Livingstone Mulondo all remain on the side lines for the Edward Golola coached side.
The Jackson Mayanja coached Kyetume are coming into the second round with only 16 points and are in the 12th position.
They will rely on the brilliance of former KCCA players Isaac Kirabira, Robert Ssentongo and skipper Vincent Kayizzi to find a much desired win against their hosts.
Former Villa defender and skipper Jonathan Mugabi Dante is another key player to watch for the Nakisunga based side.
A win for the Kitende based team helps them not only to maintain grip on top of the table but also to restore the four points lead while one for Kyetume helps them raise to 19 points.
