Vipers visit limping Soltilo Bright Stars in bid for ascendency

Vipers SC will be seeking for a third straight win as they travel to Soltilo Bright Stars on Tuesday at Kavumba Recreation grounds.

Bright Stars who are under the stewardship of Simon Peter Mugerwa are winless in their previous four Uganda league games.

The Venoms come into this contest second on the Uganda Premier League log with 23 points and 4 adrift of leaders KCCA FC. They managed a slim 1-0 victory over Tooro United at home in their last game.

Bright Stars on the other hand are 13th on the table with just 7 points, they played out to a goalless draw at BUL FC in their previous fixture.

Mugerwa’s side will be boosted by the return of forward Emmanuel Loki who has fully recovered from injury. James Angu will again miss the game due to school engagements but is expected to return after the Christmas.

Vipers assistant coach Marcelo Cardoso will not be part of the technical team at Bright Stars after leaving the country for personal reasons.
