At Vipers, he will link up with his fellow countryman Fabien Mutombora who was a key factor in his move to the Kitende outfit.

He will become the fourth Burundian to play for Vipers joining Karim Nizigiyimana, Sefu Ndizeye and Mutombora as well.

Mavugo and Mutombora have both represented the Burundian U20 and U23 sides.

Mavugo is expected to fill the void left by Fahad Bayo who left the Kitende based side for greener pastures at Israeli side Ashood FC.

Vipers SC has already captured new signings Disan Galiwango (Express), Jamil Kalisa (Bright Stars), Ibrahim Oriti (Mbarara City) and David Bagoole (Busoga United).
