Vipers SC beat Busoga United 5-3 in an entertaining league contest at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
A brace from second half substitute Paul Mucureezi, Geoffrey Wasswa, Milton Karisa and Karim Watambala ensured maximum points for the defending champions.
Skipper George Kasonko, Isma Mugulusi and Paul Ssekulima scored for the hosts.
Wasswa gave Vipers the lead in the 18th minute before Kasonko levelled matters for the home side in the 26th minute.
Two minutes later, Karisa made it 2-1 for Vipers.
Five minutes into the second half, Watambala extended the visitors lead.
Mugulusi pulled one back in the 52nd minute to keep Busoga United into the contest.
In the 72nd minute, Mucureezi perfectly restored the champions two goal advantage from a well curled free kick before he completed his brace in the 86th minute.
Vipers are now eighth placed with 7 points and two games in hand while Busoga are second from the bottom with only one point in five games.
