Reigning champions Vipers FC have extended their Uganda Premier League unbeaten run by defeating BUL 3-1 at FUFA Technical Center Njeru.
Dan Mzee Sserunkuma, Tito Okello and substitute Duncan Sseninde scored the three goals which ensured maximum points for the Venoms with Villa Oromchan pulling one back for the hosts.
Dan Sserunkuma put Vipers in the lead as early as the 2nd minute after a well taken free kick by Yayo Lutimba finding him well spaced to tap in.
BUL FC pressed hard and in the 55th minute Villa Oromchan found the back of the second netting his second goal of the season.
Tito Okello restored BUL FC’s lead through a long range shot finding Ssebwalunyo off his line to make 2-1 in favour of the Venoms.
Substitute Duncan Sseninde who had replaced Dan Sserunkuma in the 81st minute sealed it off in the 85th minute ensuring maximum points for the Venoms.
Yayo Lutimba and skipper Abdul Mayanja of Vipers and BUL FC respectively were the only players cautioned by referee Rajab Bakasambe.
A win takes Vipers SC in the 2nd position with 24 points three points behind table leaders KCCA FC while Peter Onen’s charges remain 6th with 19 points.
