Vipers sail to a serene win over MYDA to maintain the pressure on URA

Yunus Sentamu netted a brace as Vipers SC showered MY DA 4-0 at King George IV Memorial Stadium, Tororo.

Abdul Karim Watambala and David Bagoole scored the other goals as the reigning champions cruised to their 14th win of the campaign.

The result also saw Fred Kajoba’s charges complete a double over MYDA who suffered their 16th defeat of the term.

In the 20th minute, Sentamu gave the visitors the lead with a calmly taken penalty after Bagoole was fouled in the box before Watambala doubled their advantage two minutes later.

Two minutes after the recess, Bagoole extended the Kitende based side’s lead.

Sentamu completed his brace five minutes after the hour mark and the 12th to his name of the current campaign.

Vipers stay second on 46 points, a point adrift of leaders URA FC while MYDA remain second from the bottom with just 9 points.

Vipers will next face UPDF FC on Saturday at Bombo Barracks grounds in the round of 16 first leg of the Uganda Cup.
