Vipers and Onduparaka settled for a goalless draw in the only Uganda Premier League game played on Saturday at the Greenlight stadium in Arua.

It was the third consecutive time both sides played out a goalless draw at the same venue.

It was a game of limited goal scoring chances with the best clear cut opportunity landing to Vipers’ hotshot Fahad Bayo who failed to beat goalkeeper Yusuf Wasswa in a one on one situation 12 minutes to normal time.

Onduparaka also came close through substitute Vitalis Tabu whose goal bound curler was parried out for a corner kick by Fabien Mutombora.

Wasswa came to Onduparaka’s rescue once again to deny Ashraf Mugume who had struck an exquisite volley at the edge of the box.

Wasswa was later named the man of match at fulltime.

The draw sends Vipers to 22 points, three better than second placed BUL FC. Onduparaka are now third with 17 points.

The Venoms will visit Kyetume in their next game on Wednesday 30th October while Onduparaka host Tooro United on the same day.
