Following the resignation of Fred Kajoba at Vipers, his assistants Paul Kiwanuka and Francis Mugerwa are to take charge until the end of the current campaign.
Sources also reveal that the club will appoint a new head coach after this term.
Kajoba decided to depart the four time champions and focus on his goalkeeping role at the Uganda National team.
Kiwanuka was a key pillar for Bright Stars during the 2019/20 season, helping them survive relegation.
Mugerwa on the other hand served as assistant coach to Douglas Bamweyana at Maroon and also had a brief stints at Onduparaka and Bright Stars.
St.Mary’s Kitende head coach Daniel Male will also help the duo for the remainder of the season.
Ibrahim Mugisha will continue with his role as the goalkeeping coach at the club.
Vipers are third on the Uganda Premier League log with 56 points and will next face SC Villa in the second leg of the Uganda Cup on Wednesday at Bombo.
