Vipers Sc welcome Kirinya Jinja SSS Fc tomorrow at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende.

The game comes at a time when things are not going Miguel Da Costa’s way and his side has only registered one win in the last 6 games and 6 points adrift of leaders Police.

Vipers Sc suffered a 3-1 defeat to KCCA Fc in the previous fixture while Kirinya emerged 1-0 victors away to UPDF in Bombo courtesy of a Fred Amaku goal.

Both sides won at their home venues in the first topflight division meetings between them, with Vipers Sc winning 1-0 at Nakivubo thanks to a Tony Odur goal and Anthony Mayanja was the hero during Kirinya’s 1-0 win in Jinja.

Vipers Sc trio Ismail Watenga, Clovis Mousa Mbayi and Dan Birikwalira will all miss due to respective injuries.

However, the duo of Tom Masiko and Tony Odur return having missed the previous two games through club suspensions.

Meanwhile, Kirinya Jinja SSS Fc will miss the services of club top scorer Musa Esenu with 3 goals and Ibrahim Kayiwa’s influence in the creative engine room since they are on loan from Vipers Sc.

Milton Karisa, Erisa Ssekisambu and Taddeo Lwanga are expected to lift up the venoms whereas Fred Amaku , George Akol and Anthony Mayanja’s impressive performances in the previous game will be vital for Ayiekoh’s side.

Vipers Sc currently lies 6th on the log with 17 points in 11 games while Kirinya sits in 7th place also on 17 points in 12 games. This means who ever wins tomorrow will leapfrog Onduparaka in fourth position.

A win will cool the increasing pressure on Miguel Da Costa and close the gap on fellow title contenders KCCA Fc and Sc Villa as well as surprise package Police.
