Vipers SC have several stars who will see their contracts expire at the end of the current season.
Skipper Halid Lwaliwa and his assistant Geoffrey Wasswa, Tito Okello, Brian Nkuubi, custodian Fabien Mutombora, Tom Masiko are some of the players who contracts are running out at the Kitende based side.
Lwaliwa, a long servant of the club, will be out of contract at the end of this season. It is believed that the club is ready to extend his contract.
Wasswa, the versatile player graduated from St.Mary’s Kitende, the feeder to Vipers’ senior team will also be a free agent at the end of the season. He has been linked with a move to KCCA FC.
Okello is the other player who will be out of contract. He returned to the Uganda premier league after forcing a move out of KCCA FC to join Asian side Benfica De Macau in Macau in 2018 on a two year deal.
Masiko, joined Vipers SC from KCCA FC on a three year deal in July 2017. The player who spent over eight years at KCCA FC has found it difficult to get playing at Vipers SC. He is currently on loan at Wakiso Giants as he serves his final year of his contract at the Kitende outfit.
Midfielder Nkuubi, another long serving player at the club. He renewed his contract at the club in 2018 and he will have only 12 months left on his current deal at the end of the season. It is unlikely that his contract will be renewed again.
Mutombora, the Burundi International goalkeeper joined the club on a three year deal in 2018 from Lydia Ludic Academic FC of Burundi. He will only have a year left on his current contract at the end of the season.
