Vipers keep the pressure on KCCA with comprehensive victory over Busoga

Vipers SC came from a goal down to humble Busoga United 4-1 on Saturday in Jinja.

Goals from Yunus Sentamu, Ibrahim Orit, Anukani Bright and Aziz Kayondo saw the Kitende outfit return home with maximum points.

Anwar Ntege had given the hosts an early lead from the spot but his goal was not enough as they suffered a fourth straight defeat.

Busoga were awarded a penalty after a handball from Vipers skipper Halid Lwaliwa handled in the forbidden area, Ntege camly slotted the host into an early lead.

Returning Sentamu restored parity with his fifth goal of the season in the 15th minute.

Four minutes later, Orit made it 2-1 off a well taken Anukani free kick. At halftime breather, it was advantage to the four time Uganda Premier League champions.

Eight minutes after the recess, Manzoki extended the visitors lead with his fifth goal of the season.

In the 62th minute, Kayondo struck the fourth for the Venoms as they cruised to a comfortable win.

Vipers reconsolidated second place but level on points with BUL FC but the later has superior goal difference.

Busoga are currently 13th placed with seven sports this term.

Busoga United next travel to fell strugglers Police FC on Saturday, December 18th while Vipers entertain Tooro United on the same day.
