Adil Djabout headed the visitors into the lead in the 64th minute. This was the first goal to be conceded by Vipers at home on the continental engagements.

The Algerian champions doubled the lead through Mohamed Walid Bencherifa who also headed perfectly past helpless Vipers custodian Derrick Ochan.

Vipers introduced on Duncan Seninde for Noah Wafula, Davis Kasirye for Dan Sserunkuma and Abraham Ndugwa for Moses Waiswa.

This is however not the end of the road for Vipers SC on the continent as they drop to the CAF Confederations cup whereas CS Constantine progress to the CAF champions league group stages for the first time.

Vipers next play Rusekere Growers in the Stanbic Uganda cup on Boxing day at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
