Vipers SC has officially confirmed the signing of striker Diego Hamis Kiiza until the end of the season with an option of a contract renewal.
The experienced forward joins the reigning Ugandan champions as a free agent following the expiration of his employment contract at Ethiopian side Fasil Kenema FC.
Kiiza becomes the second January tranfer signing for the Kitende outfit after Ugandan born Kenyan Innocent Wafula. He is expected to boost the club’s attack as they aim to regain their crown.
The 2010/11 Uganda Premier league winner and top scorer with URA FC has previously featured for Nalubaale FC, Yanga ( Tanzania), Simba ( Tanzania), Free State stars of South Africa, El Hilal Obeid (Sudan) before turn up for Fasil Kenema FC (Ethiopia).
Kiiza is expected to be handed his debut on Tuesday away to Nyamityobora FC. Vipers currently sit in second place on the UPL table with 34 points and only three off the leaders KCCA FC
