Vipers confirm departure of Muhammad Shaban

Despite having a year left on his contract, Vipers let him go after both parties reached an agreement to terminate the contract.

Vipers Sports Club have officially released striker Muhammad Shaban by mutual consent.

The club confirmed his departure in a statement released on their official website.

” Vipers Sports Club can confirm the departure of striker Muhammad Shaban who has left the club by mutual consent.”

Shaban joined Vipers after being released by Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca at the start of the 2019/20 season but spent the subsequent season nursing a knee injury.

He made his debut last season and scored an early goal as the Venoms were held to a one-all draw by Wakiso Giants.

The former KCCA striker made a total of 8 appearances, scoring one goal and registering one assist.

Despite having a year left on his contract, Vipers let him go after both parties reached an agreement to terminate the contract.

He is expected to join his former side Onduparaka FC.
