Yunus Sentamu’s late strike cancelled out Rwothomio Cromwell’s first half strike as Vipers and URA FC played out to a 1-1 stalemate at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The results means 3rd placed Express FC are only a point behind Vipers SC and 2 behind URA FC

Rwothomio gave the tax collectors the lead in the 33rd minute when he was fed by the supremacy of skipper Shafiq Kagimu.

The hosts struggled in the first period as they failed to break down a well organised URA FC defence led by the gigantic Benjamin Nyakoojo.

The Venoms improved in the second period and nearly leveled early on when Sentamu’s header was well saved by URA FC custodian Hannington Sebwalunyo.

The draw sees URA FC stay at the summit with 51 points while Vipers are second with 50 points.

Vipers will next face SC Villa at Bombo Military playground on Saturday while URA FC host Police FC on the same day.
