During the first round meeting at Kitende, the two sides played out to a 1-1 stalemate. BUL needed a late Simon Peter Oketch equaliser to salvage a point.

Vipers come into this contest after a comfortable 3-0 win over SC Villa in their previous fixture. They are currently top with 33 points garnered in 15 games.

What the coaches say

Alex Isabirye (BUL FC)

“We expect to win but I don’t expect it to be an easy game. Vipers is a good team with good coaches as well but we have prepared our players to match them in all aspects.”

“We have gone close to a month with out playing and that may have affected us in one way or the other but I am confident the players know what to do to get the three points tomorrow.”

“We lost Musa Esenu who had scored for us eight goals in the first round but we have got a very good replacement for him. I expect the new catch to match his scoring prowess or even play better than him.” He told the club website.

Marcelo Cardoso (Vipers SC assistant coach)

“We want to continue with our level of performance in the second round. Our players have really worked hard in the previous weeks.”

Head to head

This will be the 22nd meeting between the two sides. In the previous 21 games, Vipers have managed 13 wins, BUL 2 and six games have ended in stalemates.
