Vipers aim for third straight win against Busoga United in eight days

Vipers SC will be aiming for a league double over Busoga United when the two sides lock horns on Tuesday at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende on Tuesday.

This fixtures barely a week when they faced off in the two legged round of 32 Stanbic Uganda Cup, Vipers humbled Busoga 5-1 on aggregate.

The hosts will be seeking for a ninth consecutive home win this campaign and have not conceded a goal in the last four games at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Busoga have won their last four league games in succession. This campaign they have won four, drawn five and suffered seven defeats this season.

Vipers beat Busoga United 5-3 away in Njeru last year in December during the first round meeting.

Kajoba has called upon for concentration among his troops,

“This game requires a lot of concentration because we are facing the same team for the third time in eight days.”  They will want to exploit various avenues to score but we have to be tight, quick and active to maximize points.” Kajoba told the club website.

In the previous four league meetings between the two sides, Vipers have registered three wins and the other ending in a stalemate.

Milton Karisa is expected to make his first appearance for the Venoms in 2021 while Siraje Sentamu who picked up a knock in the Uganda Cup game has been declared fit.

They will rely on Caesar Manzoki and Yunus Sentamu for inspiration. 

The visitors will miss the services of Isma Mugulusi and Opaala Edrine who are sitting for their Uganda advanced certificate of Education final exams.
