Vipers SC are edging closer and closer towards signing striker Yunus Sentamu “Manucho” who is currently a free agent.
Sentamu came close to reuniting with his former side in August last year but both parties failed to reach a compromise.
Uganda Cranes striker Yunus Sentamu ‘Manucho’ is set for a Vipers SC reunion in the ongoing transfer window Swift Sports understands.
Close sources also indicate that the forward will sign a two-year contract with the Kitende based side.
Sentamu has been out of action since leaving KF Tirana in Albania last year.
Sentamu made his mark while at St.Julian Secondary School during the National Copa Coca-Cola schools football championship.
He later joined St.Mary’s Kitende where he enjoyed remarkable success winning the National Schools title and East African honors before graduating to Vipers SC senior team.
He is remembered for his heroic performances at the 2014 CHAN tournament where he scored three goals for the Uganda Cranes.
Sentamu was also part of the National Team at the 2017 Continental showpiece in Gabon.
Sentamu has previously played at AS Vita in Congo, Tunisian outfit CS Sfaxien, Ilves of Finland and Albania first division side KF Tirana. He also featured for Bulemeezi Ssaza team, helping them to the 2012 Masaza Cup triumph.
