Vincent Kayizzi was among the Bukavu side that defeated Express at Wankulukuku

Former Uganda Cranes international Vincent Kayizzi is on the verge of signing for DR Congo side Bukavu Dawa.

Kayizzi a free agent after being released by KCCA FC at the end of last season, is expected to put pen to paper on a 2 year contract. Kayizzi has been training with the side who have camped in Kampala for the last 3 months in preparation for the Linafoot league play offs.

Speaking to www.swiftsportsug.com, Kayizzi expressed his delight at the possibility of being handed an opportunity to further his career. He said,

” I am glad for this opportunity that has presented to me and I hope it will be a big turn in my career and I hope it will be a big inspiration for me to prolong it. I am pleased I have found a good number of Ugandan players at this club and it always make you feel comfortable when you find people that speak the same language as you do.”

When asked about his immediate targets upon this new challenge placed ahead of him, Kayizzi added,

“At this moment I am focusing on impressive my new bosses and perhaps win everything there is to challenge for because this is a very ambitious side that the owners and coaches and coaches are targeting to achieve.”

D.C Bukavu play in the Eastern province of the DR Congo Linafoot league and they are bankrolled by business mogul Didi Mudogo. Kayizzi joins fellow Uganda players like Brian Bwete, Ismail Kazibwe , Patrick Ochan among others.
