After bowing out of the Uganda Cup at the expense of Vipers SC, Villa tactician Edwardo Kaziba has reminded his team that there is still a lot to fight for in the remaining fixtures of the season.

The record league champions are currently a distant 9th on the log with 36 points but they can fight for a top 5 place if they win their remaining four fixtures beginning with tomorrow’s affair against UPDF.

“We can still finish in a better position than the one we currently occupy”

“This is a big team and the players know that. So we are going all out to attack our opponents who beat us in the first round “

“I am glad that most of the boys are fresh and fit save for Meddie Kibirige and Francis Olaki who are out with illness” .

UPDF beat SC Villa 1-0 in the first round thanks to Ezekiel Katende’s 74th minute strike.

Despite Kaziba’s confidence, it was reported that Villa did not train on Tuesday because some members of the technical team had decided to put down their tools in demand for salary arrears.

They have however returned to training on Thursday morning and they will set off for Bombo tomorrow for the match
