Veteran defender Walangalira leaves BUL FC

BUL FC have announced the departure of veteran defender Musa Walangalira following the expiry of his employment contract.

Walangalira who joined BUL FC in 2018 from JMC Hippos, leaves the club after three years.

The 40-year old defender is arguably the oldest player in league and has been offered a testimonial match by the club.

Like earlier reported by this website, BUL FC is expected to release upto ten players whose contracts expired at the end of last season and Walangalira was one of them.

Walangalira was born on 25th December 1980 in Jinja. He went to Mulusa Academy, Naggalama Islamic and MUBS.

He played for Budondo United, Buwenda United, Bugiri Old Timers, Police FC and Iganga Municipal Council before switching to JMC Hippos.

He spent 10 solid years at JMC Hippos (2008-18) before he transferred to BUL FC.

BUL FC finished 11th with 33 points in the recently concluded season and will be targeting a better finish in the 2021/22 season.
