Ivan Ntege’s future is uncertain

With various clubs looking to strengthen their squads in the summer transfer window, URA FC has expressed interest of signing KCCA’s Robert Sentongo and Ivan Ntege.
The Lugazi based club has joined SC Villa in the race to sign both players who seem to have run out of favour under Mike Mutebi.

Both players have been linked with possible moves to Villa park in recent weeks.
URA have so far captured the signatures of Denis Kamanzi and Paul Patrick Mboowa both from Villa. URA coach Ibrahim Kirya is in affirmative that his team are going to be involved strongly in this transfer exercise.

We shall have a busy transfer window to help boost our squad and compete for the title.” Intimated Kirya.

Both Robert Sentongo and Ivan Ntege have struggled to enter into Mike Mutebi’s starting line up, Sentongo who joined KCCA from URA last summer has faced stiff competition from strikers Derrick Nsibambi and Geoffrey Sserunkuma who have been firing on all cylinders.

Ivan Ntege is also no longer one of the first names on KCCA FC team sheets as midfielders Tom Masiko, Isaac Kirabira and Muzamiru Mutyaba are considered ahead of him.

What i know is that at the moment am a KCCA player and am in preparations for the Uganda cup final against Paidha Black Angels on Thursday 15th June at Betway Greenlight stadium.” Says Ntege

However, URA need a striker to fill the gap left by Diego Hamis Kizza who joined Al Hilal Al Obeyed of Sudan in May. Robert Sentongo has won the golden boot twice in the last 3 seasons but managed only 6 goals last season perhaps due to limited play time.

SC Villa are also not sure of keeping their talisman Emmanuel Okwi who is out of contract at a moment.

We are in negotiations with Okwi to keep him and am confident he will extend his stay.” Eng. Emmanuel Ben Misagga told Swift sports.

In case Okwi who also attracts interest from Vipers doesn’t extend his stay at Villa Sentongo is likely to be a serious option.
This is expected to be one of the most interesting transfer seasons as most of the league’s top dogs have actively been involved. Keep tabs on us as we shall keep you posted on all the proceedings.
