URA FC wields the axe on five players

URA FC has released 5 players in a preparations of 2017-18 season. Players released include Midfielder Elkana Nkugwa, Jimmy Lule, Harry Gentle, Emmanuel Ibe Obina and Richard Wandyaka.

Elkana Nkugwa had spent 4 seasons at URA FC winning the Uganda Cup with the club in 2014. Midfielder Jimmy Lule Kibirige had joined URA Fc from Bright Stars while Richard Wandyaka was signed from JMC Hippos at the start of last season.
Nigerians Harry Frank Gentle and Emmanuel Ibe Obina have also short lived at the club having signed for the 4 time champions last year in August.

The five have been shown exit to give room to new players already signed by the Lugazi based club in this transfer window. The club under coach Ibrahim Kirya has already captured Mboowa Paul Patrick from SC Villa, Siraje Sentamu from Vipers, Sempa Charles from Lweza FC, Dennis Kamanzi from Villa and Simon Okwi from Sofapaka on 2 year contracts each.

The club has also signed forward Abdul Rahman Ajab from relegated side JMC Hippos on a two year contract.

URA FC also lost strikers Diego Hamis Kizza to Al Hilal Obeyyied of Sudan, Feni Ali Muhamood to Sofapaka FC and Left back Yayo Lutimba to Vipers.
