Uganda Premier League side URA FC will face Ethiopia’s Coffee FC in the Preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
The revenue collectors learnt their opponents at the draw held on Friday at CAF Headquarters in Cairo.
URA FC will host the first leg on weekend of September 10th-12 before traveling to Ethiopia for the second leg between September 17-19th.
The winner between URA FC and Coffee FC over two legs will face Egyptian side Al Masry who were exempted to take part at the first stage.
URA FC finished second on the Uganda Premier League table when the campaign was prematurely ended due to Covid-19.
This is their third appearance at the CAF Confederation Cup having made their maiden debut in 2006 when they were ejected by Sudanese side El Merriekh at the round of 32. The second time was in 2015 with South African side Orlando Pirates ending their continental journey.
Coffee FC on the other hand finished as runners up to Fasil City FC in the 2020/21 Ethiopian Premier League. They are two time league champions
