Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club is set to unveil experienced manager Sam Timbe Swift Sports can reveal.
The CAF ‘A’ coaching license holder will be at the helms of the club for the next one year.
He will work alongside and already established backroom staff of Simeon Masaba (coach), Robert Mukasa (Assistant coach), Steven Billy Kiggundu (Goalkeeping coach) and former Vipers trainer Edward Ssali (Trainer).
For starters, the dismissal of former manager Sam Simbwa left a vacuum as his replacement Simeon Masaba does not meet the CAF required standards.
In the new establishment, veteran coach Timbe will lead the line but Masaba remains the man in full control.
He will add his experience to a side that badly needs his expertise.
Timbe has previously won National league titles both in Uganda and Rwanda.
He also won CECAFA Kagame Cup on four counts and with different clubs. These are; Sports club Villa (2005), Uganda Police Football Club (2006), Rwanda’s Atraco FC (2009) and Tanzania’s Yanga Africans (2011).
He has also previously coached at Sofapaka FC and Tusker FCin Kenya. He also previously served as the Uganda Cranes assistant manager.
URA Football Club is raring to go on CAF Confederation Cup expedition and their first task will be a home and away tie against Ethiopian club Coffee FC.
The Tax Collectors will host the first leg encounter at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende Wakiso District on 12th, September, 2021.
