URA FC launches new secretariat

Uganda Revenue Authority Football club has reached another milestone by opening up their new offices found in Nakawa.

The 4 time Uganda Premier league champions have also launched the club Secretariat.

Club chairman Kizza James highlighted that the club is ambitious at making a mark in Ugandan football history that will be beneficial to the generations to come.

We are ambitious at making a mark in Ugandan football history that will be beneficial to the generations to come and embark on short and long-term targets. We shall attain the targets with the support from various stakeholders including main sponsors, the Uganda Revenue Authority.

He added,

“Club football world over is guided by activities, which are organized and run by strong units that must be effective for the achievement of various goals.” Noted Kizza.

The Ag. Commissioner General Henry Martin Saka pledged that they will continue to give the club support and make it competitive both in the Country and the continent.

“I pledge management’s support in every possible way to make the club not only a country but also a continental success. I am sure various activities have been lined up by the Secretariat to see and I know life will not be the same around here.” He stated.

Minister for Youth and FUFA Vice President who was the chief guest in her remarks congratulated URA FC upon the success.

“I congratulate URA FC for opening the new offices, this comes at a time when football is registering enormous success in the country. Hope the offices are used for the purposes outlined in the FUFA pro agenda.”

The members who make up the club secretariat are Ivan Kakembo ( CEO), Paul Muwanika ( Head of finance and administration), Bridget Nakayenga ( Marketing and communication), Ismail Kakaire ( Events and Management), Adam Kakira ( Office assistant) and Racheal Niwagira ( CEO Personal assistant).

The Tax collectors are 10th on the log with 14 points garnered in 10 games, them and reigning league champions Vipers SC are the only sides yet to taste defeat. Uganda’s league triumph was during the 2010-11 season.
