Tanzanian side Azam, four time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers and KCCA FC were all interested in his signature.

Kyeyune started his career at Maroons FC before moving to URA FC in 2011 from where he joined Sudanese giants El Merrikh at the start of this year.

During the 2019/20 season, Kyeyune scored eight league goals and as many assists.

The talismanic midfielder impressed at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) held in Morocco earlier this year, scoring two of the three goals that Uganda managed at the tournament.

He becomes the fifth player to be unveiled by the revenue collectors after Derrick Ndahiro, Simon Baligeya, Kabon Living and Andrew Okiring Isiagi.

They have also signed custodian James Alitho who is making a return to the side.

The tax collectors will play Ethiopia’s Coffee FC in the Preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

URA FC will host the first leg between September 10-12th before traveling to Ethiopia for the second leg between 17-19th September.
