Uganda Revenue Authority Football has unveiled experienced Sam Timbe as a Team manager.
“URA FC can confirm that CAF “A” licensed football tactician Sam Timbe will join the technical management team in the capacity of team manger”, reads part of the communique from the club.
This week, this website reported that the CAF ‘A’ holder will be at the helms of the club for the next one year.
Timbe will work alongside and already established backroom staff of Simeon Masaba (head coach), Robert Mukasa(Assistant coach), Steven Billy Kiggundu (Goalkeeping coach) and former Vipers trainer Edward Ssali (Trainer).
Timbe will add his experience to a side that badly needed his expertise.
His immediate task will be handling a CAF confederation cup between URA FC and Ethiopian club Coffee FC this weekend.
Timbe has previously won National league titles both in Uganda and Rwanda.
He also won CECAFA Kagame Cup on four counts and with different clubs. These are; Sports club Villa (2005), Uganda Police Football Club (2006), Rwanda’s Atraco FC (2009) and Tanzania’s Yanga Africans Football Club (2011).
He has also previously coached at Sofapaka FC and Tusker Football Club in Kenya.
With a uniquely rich CV, Timbe has also previously served as Uganda Cranes’ assistant manager.
URA Football Club is raring to go on CAF Confederation Cup expedition and their first task will be a home and away tie against Ethiopian club Coffee FC.
The tax collectors will host the first leg encounter at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende Wakiso District on 12th, September, 2021.
